At the outdoor café, Claire and Holden talk about everything Stephanie did to help both Malcolm and Nikki. Holden is amazed that Claire’s grandparents went from barely speaking to renewing their wedding vows. Claire gushes over the power of true love, and Holden assures her he’s a hopeless romantic too.
Claire playfully accuses Holden of being a player, but he insists he’s always believed in finding one person who feels completely right. He says his mother’s marriage to Jerry inspired that outlook. Claire points out that he’s never actually had a serious relationship. Holden laughs, teasing that she sounds just like his mom.
Holden explains that he simply never met the right person to build a serious relationship with. He then asks Claire whether she’d be willing to try again after everything that happened with Kyle. Claire admits she would. An awkward silence follows, filled with shy smiles between them.
Holden brings Claire back to his suite at the Club, where they chat casually about their current living situations. Claire says she’d love to have a place of her own. Holden admits hotel living doesn’t exactly feel like real life. Claire points out they spend a lot of time in hotel rooms. She wonders where that leaves them. The two end up spending the night together.
Surprise!
At the Shadow Room, Christine is surprised when Danny pulls out a key. She asks why he has one and what they’re doing there. Danny smiles and says, “I like it here,” before revealing that he’s now the man in charge. Cricket gasps, “What?!” Danny explains that he loves the idea of staying in one place and welcoming guests every evening.
Christine is stunned by the announcement. She worries about what it means for his music career and whether he’ll really enjoy living a more ordinary life. Danny admits it’s becoming harder and harder to leave the people he loves behind every time he goes on tour. He still plans to keep writing songs and performing. Christine happily welcomes him home for good. As they kiss, Daniel walks in and asks why his father is there. Danny proudly explains that this is now his new job.
Daniel is shocked by the thought of his father settling down in one place. Christine says Danny is completely committed to the idea. Daniel jokes that he’s looking forward to enjoying more of his dad’s special sauce, and the two share a hug.
Turning Revenge Into an Obsession
At Crimson Lights, Chelsea asks Adam if he’s finally going to “snap out of this” today. They talk about Victor and Nikki leaving for Italy after renewing their vows. Chelsea wishes they hadn’t missed the celebration. Adam says he still has to pretend he’s offended by Victor’s accusations. He remains frustrated that Billy’s actions once again left him on the outside looking in.
Chelsea wants their attention focused on running Newman Media and hopes Adam has no intention of targeting Spectra Charles. Adam assures her he won’t pile onto Sally, who already has Billy to deal with for the foreseeable future. Even so, he promises he’ll make Billy regret turning Victor against him.
Chelsea is disappointed that Adam has returned to thoughts of revenge. Adam argues that she can’t seriously expect him to let this go. His only plan, he insists, is to expose the weak leadership at Chancellor and force Lily to replace those responsible. Chelsea tells him to let them fail on their own and concentrate on Newman Media instead. She asks why Billy continues to matter so much to him.
They continue the discussion out on the patio. Adam insists the public deserves to know about the problems at Chancellor. Chelsea argues that using their positions to settle personal scores is wrong. She tells him he has to stop manipulating situations. “I don’t want it and I’m not going to do it,” she says firmly.
Locked In
At Billy’s place, he shows Cane the old Chancellor archives. Billy believes whatever Jill has been hiding is buried somewhere inside those files, and he’s determined to uncover it. Cane isn’t impressed by Billy’s obsession with the mystery. Billy makes it clear he isn’t letting it go. Cane tells him to accept Jill’s decisions and move on, but Billy excitedly announces that he’s already uncovered the first clue.
Frustrated, Cane asks what this supposed clue is. Billy explains that Chancellor nearly went bankrupt years ago, but the crisis was covered up before the company suddenly received a major cash infusion. He believes that information is significant. Why else would Jill want to keep him from discovering it?
Cane argues that even if Billy is right, exposing that history could seriously damage Chancellor. The disagreement quickly escalates into a shouting match, with Billy insisting they have to uncover the truth. Finally, Cane steps right into Billy’s face and warns him to let it go—or he may have to rethink hiring him at Chancellor altogether.
Interrupted
Back in the Club suite, after spending the night together, Holden and Claire agree that what happened between them feels different. Holden admits it feels very real to him. Claire says she feels the same way. They begin kissing again until Cane knocks on the door. Holden answers and promises he’ll meet him downstairs in five minutes.
When Holden joins Cane at the Club bar, Cane explains that Billy has started digging into Chancellor’s history. There’s no way of knowing what he might uncover, so they have to stay alert. Cane wants Holden to keep a close eye on Billy.
Enough Is Enough
Adam arrives at Society and spots Sally. He apologizes for how he acted the previous day. Sally understands his anger was directed at Billy, not at her. Adam immediately starts complaining about how Billy betrayed him. Sally sighs and asks if he’s planning to go after Billy now. She wonders if they’re really going to keep chasing revenge for the rest of their lives.
At the same time, Chelsea arrives at Billy’s place, where he assumes she’s there to lecture him. Chelsea fumes over the childish game he and Adam keep playing. Billy says Adam is only setting himself up for failure. Chelsea has had enough. “Stop it already!” Billy thanks her for warning him about Adam. Chelsea glares, making it clear that wasn’t why she came.
The Final Scenes
At the Shadow Room, Danny says he wants to bring everyone together. Daniel jokes that it sounds like his father is trying to build a family compound. Danny asks how things are going with Daniel’s music. Daniel admits there isn’t much happening without Tessa. Danny then surprises him with an offer. “Come work with me here.”
Back at the Club bar, Holden agrees to keep an eye on Billy but wonders if Cane only hired him to spy. He believed this was a legitimate position. Cane insists he trusts Holden and says protecting the company is what matters. Holden questions why Cane continues keeping Billy around at all.
At Billy’s place, Chelsea vents that she’s tired of everything. She complains that Billy and Adam are simply carrying on Jack and Victor’s endless feud. She calls the whole situation ridiculous. “Why would you go to Victor?” Billy says Victor came after him first and launches into another speech about truth and transparency. Chelsea calls it complete nonsense. Billy warns that Adam is a snake and urges her to walk away from him. “You should leave him once and for all.”
At Society, Sally assumes Adam intends to use Newman Media to attack Billy. She asks him to leave Billy alone. With his new position, Billy finally has a chance to rebuild his career. She tells Adam it would mean everything to Billy. “It would mean a lot to me.”
