At least two residents of Genoa City have decided they’ve had enough of the “wait and see” approach when it comes to whether Matt Clark has truly changed. Rather than sticking around to find out, they’re choosing to leave.
Monday’s episode of *The Young and the Restless* delivered an unexpected surprise when Noah suddenly revealed that he and Sienna had decided to leave town and return to Los Angeles.
On one level, it’s hard to fault their decision. Matt’s repeated appearances at The Shadow Room had been putting increasing strain on their relationship. Clark managed to persuade Sienna that he had genuinely changed, but Noah refused to believe it and insisted that his girlfriend cut off all contact with her ex-husband. Unsurprisingly, Sienna wasn’t about to be told what she could or couldn’t do, and she made it clear to Noah that she wouldn’t simply follow his orders. The tension between them quickly became impossible to ignore.
The next time Noah appears, he shocks both Mariah and Sharon by announcing that he and Sienna have chosen to head back to California, putting as much distance as possible between themselves and Matt. Sharon and Mariah understand the reasoning, and on the surface, so do we. Still, there’s one major problem with the decision.
Although it’s easy to imagine Noah wanting to send Sienna back to Los Angeles for her own safety, it’s far harder to believe he would leave his mother behind when he clearly suspects Matt is plotting something, especially with his father currently in rehab and unable to help. That part is difficult to buy, but nevertheless, it appears Tamara Braun and Lucas Adams are both exiting the canvas.
Noah and Sienna, who have been part of the show for less than a year, made quite an impression when they debuted as a couple on *The Young and the Restless*, particularly because the two actors had previously portrayed a mother-and-son duo on *Days of Our Lives*.
Many *Young & Restless* fans were hoping the show would develop a love triangle involving Noah, Sienna, and his former love Audra. Instead, the story appears to have taken an entirely different direction.
While Noah assured his onscreen mother, Sharon, that his departure would only be temporary, the arrival of a new headwriting team leaves open the question of whether Lucas Adams will eventually return to the role—and, if he does, whether Sienna, played by Tamara Braun, will return alongside him. In the meantime, a recent *Young & Restless* preview revealed that Danny Romalotti is set to become the new manager of The Shadow Room.
