At the beach house, Katie demands to know what “Melissa” really wants with her son. “Why are you here?” Dylan explains that she came to California to chase her dreams. She also admits she has admired Katie and her family for years through their magazines.
Katie asks whether Will knows about her longtime interest in the family. Dylan quietly replies, “No.” Katie smirks. “Didn’t think so.”
Dylan insists she simply read a lot of magazines and that it was never an obsession. Katie tells her she has always been a fan of Electra, describing her as intelligent and graceful. Dylan points out that Electra also broke Will’s heart, something that hurt her because she genuinely cares about him. She explains how much Will helped her, but Katie sarcastically suggests that the comforts of a Malibu beach house must have looked pretty attractive after living in her car. Oh, Katie, no.
Dylan reminds Katie that she was living above the garage and never made a move on Will until after Electra kissed RJ. Katie remains convinced Dylan has been calculating everything from the beginning—a girl carrying out a plan. “Am I right, Melissa?” Drink!
Forever Can Be a Very Long Time
At Logan, Will absentmindedly types on his laptop before shutting it. Bill storms in, irritated that his son skipped a conference call. He wonders whether Electra Forrester is still the distraction—or if it’s the new girl Will has been seeing. Wyatt already told him about the “hottie” who isn’t a Forrester.
Will explains that he and Dylan only kissed. Bill remembers hearing she had been living in her car and says he isn’t judging, pointing out that he also started with nothing. (Well... he did have a wealthy father.) Bill is pleased that his son seems to be moving on from Electra. When the time is right, he and Katie would love to meet Dylan. Will admits he still feels like he may love Electra forever. Bill laughs, reminding him that he’s still young and that forever is a very long time.
Support Goes Both Ways
At Forrester, Carter thanks Steffy for standing by him and assures her he’ll continue supporting Daphne. Steffy reflects on how important it is to lean on your spouse during difficult moments. Carter notices something is bothering her and asks whether everything is okay. She admits it has to do with Finn... and his Birth Mother™.
Carter immediately asks, “What did Sheila do now?” Steffy sighs, saying she hopes Sheila won’t become another problem, but with her, you never know. Carter offers to explore any legal options that might help and reminds Steffy that he’s there for her as well. Sheila needs to stay out of their lives. Steffy assures him she has no intention of letting Sheila become part of their future.
The Details Matter...
In his office, Finn is visibly upset when Sheila walks in. He tells her he knows about her recent encounter with Steffy. Sheila asks if he managed to get through to his wife. She proudly talks about how much she has changed and all the sacrifices she has made for Steffy’s mother. Finn lets her know that he spoke with Steffy. “I’m sorry.”
Sheila continues pleading for a place in Finn’s life. “Please, Finn. Tell me that you want that too.” Finn tries to make her understand the lasting trauma she caused Steffy. Even if he wanted to explore that possibility, now isn’t the right time. He mentions Steffy’s upcoming trip to Monaco. Sheila suggests they could spend time together while Steffy is away. Finn tells her he’s going to Monaco with his wife and wouldn’t betray Steffy’s trust regardless.
Sheila narrows her eyes, insisting they finally have a chance to become a real family. She reminds him that he called her “Mom.” Finn tells her he has to respect his wife’s wishes. “Goodbye, Sheila.” With that, he leaves the office, unknowingly leaving Sheila alone among all the confidential files.
The Final Scenes
At Forrester, Finn greets Steffy and immediately tells her Sheila stopped by the office to see him. Steffy hopes he made himself clear. Finn admits that part of him understands where Sheila is coming from, which immediately upsets Steffy. He quickly reassures her with heartfelt words of love. Together, they look forward to their upcoming trip to Monaco and returning to the church where they found each other again. Steffy promises she will never take him for granted. They declare their love before sharing a kiss.
Back at the beach house, Katie continues insisting Dylan is “a girl with a plan,” accusing her of trying to climb the social ladder. Dylan maintains that she has done nothing wrong and reminds Katie that Electra was the one who walked away from Will yet again. “Mrs. Spencer, I love your son.” Katie rolls her eyes, pointing out that Will doesn’t love her—he’s still in love with her best friend.
Katie remains convinced Dylan is hiding something, but Dylan repeatedly denies it. “I’m a good person.” She begs Katie to give her the chance to prove it. “Please!”
