In court, Martin asks Portia how long she had been sleeping with Isaiah while still married to Curtis. Portia objects, prompting Martin to tell her, “You can’t do that!” She insists her personal life has nothing to do with her ex-husband attacking Dr. Gannon. The judge warns Portia that she could be held in contempt, then instructs Martin to make his point and move forward.
Will Curtis End Up Behind Bars?
Martin drives home the fact that Portia cheated on Curtis after three years of marriage, but Portia explains that she and Curtis were estranged by the time she began seeing Isaiah. Martin then gets Portia to acknowledge that before Curtis struck Isaiah, Isaiah claimed he would be a better father to his child than Curtis. Martin characterizes that as provocation, while Molly objects on the grounds of speculation.
Molly questions Portia and notes that while Portia had moved on with Isaiah, Curtis had also moved forward with Jordan. Molly asks whether Isaiah threatened Curtis, and Portia says he did not. When Molly asks who threw the punch, Portia answers that it was Curtis.
Drew is then called to testify and keeps his promise, stating that Willow was not on Rt. 91 that night and that his wife was home with him. He explains that the confusion with Joe happened while he was locked in and could only communicate by blinking.
Isaiah takes the stand next and describes the damage to his hand and how it currently prevents him from performing surgery, including a lifesaving liver transplant for a child. Molly asks whether he will ever be able to operate again, and Isaiah admits he doesn’t know.
During cross-examination, Isaiah acknowledges that he was on Rt. 91 to visit a patient whose identity is protected by HIPAA. Martin brings up the vehicle Isaiah drives and the repairs made to it around the time of Jordan and Curtis’ crash, arguing that Curtis could reasonably believe Isaiah was driving the other car. Molly objects, and Martin asks whether Isaiah deliberately provoked Curtis on the night of the assault. Isaiah says he merely made a statement he believed was true.
Jordan is called next and asked to describe her injuries to the court. She also recalls Isaiah visiting her in the hospital even though she never asked him to come, and she suspects he acted out of guilt. Molly cross-examines and points out that Jordan and Isaiah were once friends, meaning he might have visited because he was concerned. She also notes that Jordan formerly served as police commissioner and emphasizes the absence of basic evidence connecting Isaiah to any crime.
Finally, Martin puts Curtis on the stand and asks why he believes Isaiah was driving the other vehicle that night. Curtis repeats all the circumstantial evidence he has been sharing with anyone willing to listen for the last several months. Martin then asks why he hit Isaiah. Curtis says he believes Isaiah abandoned him and Jordan to die and is now actively attempting to push him out of his own family. During Molly’s cross-examination, Curtis admits Isaiah never physically threatened him on the night of the assault.
Is Willow Creating Her Own Downfall?
Willow arrives at Nina’s carrying coffee and angrily confronts her for speaking to Jack about her children. Nina insists she never criticized Willow’s parenting. Her concern was Willow’s plan to pressure Anna into reopening the investigation into Drew’s shooting, which Jack also believes is a terrible idea. Willow argues that she cannot be prosecuted again and refuses to back down from Michael.
Nina warns that Willow’s success as a congresswoman and her victory over Drew have made her overly confident. Willow rejects that idea, declaring that she is currently in the strongest position she has ever been in to regain custody of her children and won’t waste the opportunity. Nina asks Willow what she has done this time…
Michael Meets Serina
At the pool, Serena apologizes for falling into Jack’s lap, and the two introduce themselves. Jack receives a work call and says he’s certain they will run into each other again.
Serena then takes Michael’s lounge chair. When he climbs out of the pool, he informs her that she is sitting in his spot. She replies, “I know, I’m here to ambush you.” Michael asks who she is and discovers she is Lucy’s daughter. He wonders why she has returned to Port Charles, and Serena answers, “What you did to my mother.”
Serena explains that her mother needed her after everything that happened at Deception, so she came back. Michael assures Serena that Maxie trusted him to act in the company’s best interest rather than automatically siding with either Tracy or Lucy. Serena says that eases her concerns, although Lucy still views him as a Quartermaine. She hopes he won’t object to her working at Deception alongside her mother. Michael says he has no issue with Serena working there and explains that his own role at Deception operates on a broader level. However, he warns that she will face another obstacle.
Laura Shares an Update About Kevin
At Bobbie’s, Laura, now sporting shorter hair, meets with Lucy. Lucy tells her that Serena has returned to town and, knowing how close Serena and Kevin were, suggests throwing a surprise party for both of them. Laura reveals that Kevin will not be returning because he plans to remain in Dublin through the fall semester. She will soon visit him and may even be able to bring Ace home now that Sidwell is no longer a factor. Eventually, Lucy says she needs to return to her daughter and rushes away.
What Is Jacinda Planning?
Outside Bobbie’s, Jacinda meets with Ezra, who has brought what she requested. He reminds her that she left the items at his place a long time ago and asks why she needs them now. Jacinda says she has had a terrible day, and Ezra produces a bag containing pills. When he asks what happened, she admits Willow filed a restraining order against her involving Michael’s children. Ezra warns that it is unsafe for her to be alone while taking the pills, but Jacinda says he should stay away from her to protect his reputation and promises she will be fine. He makes her swear she will call if she needs help.
Laura Holds More Meetings
After Lucy leaves, Laura notices Jacinda outside with Ezra. Jacinda soon departs, and Ezra enters Bobbie’s to join Laura. Laura asks about what she just witnessed between him and Jacinda. She warns him that Jacinda is involved with Michael, who is currently battling Willow, and says he should avoid becoming entangled in their conflict. Ezra makes it clear that he understands what is happening but refuses to abandon Jacinda, insisting that “those people” could destroy her and discard her without a second thought.
Later, Jack sits down with Laura. He had hoped to establish common ground between the WSB and her office, but Laura responds, “Nope!” She orders him to sit and declares there will be no cooperation until he explains why Jenz Sidwell has not been removed from Port Charles.
Willow Did What?
Back at Nina’s, she is horrified to hear that Willow filed a restraining order against Jacinda and warns it will only make Michael even angrier. Willow doesn’t care. At that moment, Jacinda arrives carrying Nina’s laundry. She sarcastically remarks that she received Willow’s restraining order and suggests Willow must feel threatened by her. Willow goes into another room, while Nina excuses herself to retrieve something for her assistant to bring to the office. Jacinda notices the coffees Willow brought earlier, one labeled for Nina and one for Willow, and reaches into her bag of pills.
Sonny Reveals Major News
Dante arrives at Sonny’s home to talk, and during their casual conversation about softball, he learns that Jason will not be playing on Sonny’s team this year. Sonny tells his son that Jason is permanently finished after what occurred in Jakarta. He says Jason is no longer the same man who left that night on the pier because something inside him broke.
Dante never imagined Sonny and Jason would separate, though he is happy for Jason and Danny. Still, he asks what this means for Sonny. Without Jason standing in front of him to take a bullet, what will Sonny do now? Dante and his children need him alive, and he wonders how he is supposed to sleep knowing his father has no protection. Sonny replies, “You don’t need to worry, because I’m walking away too.”
Tracy Is Proud of Jason
In the Quartermaine kitchen, Tracy arrives after Jason summons her and learns that he has stopped working for Sonny. Tracy points out that he has walked away before and asks what makes this time different. Jason explains there was no argument or falling-out. He is simply finished.
Tracy asks why he made the decision now. Jason says it is because of Danny, who is all he has left now that Sam is gone. Jason once believed moving Danny into the Quartermaine mansion would be enough, but he now realizes his son deserves a better father. He says he must set a stronger example and be present to guide Danny away from dangerous choices. Tracy becomes emotional, recognizing that what Jason wants for Danny is exactly what Alan and Monica always wanted for him.
Jason admits he has been thinking about Alan and Monica frequently. Tracy tells him they spent years hoping for this moment, and Jason wishes he could apologize for all the worry he caused them. Tracy assures him he had to reach this point in his own time and says that if they were still there, they would be incredibly happy and grateful.
In the Show’s Final Moments
In court, Molly and Martin deliver their closing arguments in Curtis’ trial.
At Bobbie’s, Jack tells Laura the WSB wanted to avoid creating additional conflict in Port Charles and with the district attorney, so it decided to let local authorities handle Sidwell. However, he promises to support her if she believes Sidwell remains dangerous. Laura says she intends to hold him to that promise.
At home, Jason tells Tracy he fears he may have waited too long to make this change. Tracy assures him that it is never too late to change, speaking from personal experience. If she can do it, so can he.
At Sonny’s, Dante asks what prompted the decision. Sonny explains that Sidwell’s downfall created new opportunities he plans to take advantage of. Dante says he never believed he would witness this day. Sonny replies that he never expected to reach a point where he no longer had to worry about his work jeopardizing Dante’s badge, and the two embrace. (So what now??)
At the pool, Lucy secretly watches Michael and Serena and proudly says, “That’s my girl!” Serena tells Michael she understands Tracy is a powerful opponent and insists she is prepared for the challenge.
Finally, at Nina’s, Jacinda slips the pills into Willow’s coffee.
On the next General Hospital, Molly tells Portia, “These are things that won’t work in our favor.” Jordan informs Curtis that she is going to sit this one out. Ava tells someone they have a shared interest worth discussing. Jacinda tells Michael, “I think things are about to change for the congresswoman.” Joss meets with Hudson and says, “You need to figure out how we fix this.” Anna tells someone, “He betrayed all of us.”
