At the beach house, Electra can’t believe Will expects her to move on as if nothing ever happened. After all, he kissed her best friend the night before. “God, you’re a pig!”
Will apologizes for hurting Electra, but insists he needs to know they still have a chance to find their way back to each other. Clearly horrified, Electra points out that this isn’t the first time he has turned to Dylan. Will urges her to focus on them instead. He believes it’s not too late and asks whether she still believes in what they had.
The two continue arguing over what happened between Will and Dylan. Electra questions why he would be with someone else if he truly believed they still had a future together. Will explains that, at the time, he thought their relationship was over, but now he knows it isn’t. He admits he’s miserable without her and says she could change that simply by coming back to him. Fighting back tears, Electra says she wishes she could—but she can’t.
Will insists Electra is allowing her family to dictate who she can and cannot love. He urges her to “follow your heart.” Electra reminds him that she did exactly that the last time she returned to him, only for him to attack R.J. and Eric while allowing his mother to ruin her fashion show. She says her family is right about him and only wants what’s best for her. As painful as it is, she knows she cannot take him back.
Unfair
Inside the design office at Forrester, R.J. confronts Dylan for betraying her best friend and then admitting it to her. Dylan argues that Electra had already ended things with Will. They debate whether Electra’s demands of Dylan were fair. Dylan insists she has always been a loyal friend and simply wanted to be honest. R.J. is stunned when she reveals that she confessed her love for Will to Electra.
Dylan argues that Electra can’t expect to keep claiming Will after breaking up with him. R.J. reluctantly admits she has a point—Electra should move on—but he still believes Dylan should have behaved like a true friend. Dylan fires back that Electra treated her as though only her own feelings mattered, even ordering her around. In the end, Electra even slapped her.
An Admission
At Finn’s office, Finn tells Li that Steffy was deeply upset at home. Li immediately assumes it’s because of Sheila. She already knows about their recent encounter and understands that Sheila is desperate to become part of Finn’s life. Finn says that simply can’t happen because Steffy will never accept it.
Li asks her son how he truly feels. Finn admits he understands every side of the situation, but emphasizes that Steffy will always view Sheila as a danger. Li believes Finn thinks Sheila deserves another chance. Finn acknowledges that he did ask Steffy to consider the possibility. Seeing Sheila remain calm about Taylor and Deacon convinced him she had genuinely changed.
Finn and Li agree that carefully supervised contact with Sheila would be safer than completely shutting her out. Even so, Finn makes it clear that he will do whatever Steffy needs in order to feel secure. His wife will always come first.
The Final Scenes
Still at Finn’s office, Li agrees that Steffy’s needs must take priority. Finn asks his mother to deliver that message to Sheila and hopes she’ll respect it. He worries that Steffy is already under enormous stress, and if Sheila refuses to back away, he has no idea how Steffy will react.
At Forrester, Dylan worries Electra will have her fired. As she and R.J. discuss Electra ending things with Will, Dylan says the two of them constantly break each other’s hearts and simply aren’t meant to be together. R.J. agrees. Dylan then suggests that perhaps she belongs with Will before adding thoughtfully, “And maybe you’re a better fit for Electra.”
Back at the beach house, Electra admits she loves Will’s unwavering belief that they can survive anything, but she still can’t reunite with him. Every time they try, it ends in heartbreak, and something always comes between them. Fighting back tears, she says, “You were my first love.” Maybe their families have been right all along: the Forresters and the Spencers simply don’t mix.
Will protests, but Electra believes it’s only a matter of time before he and Dylan take their relationship even further. She says she’ll always love him—from a distance. She can’t keep putting herself through the same pain.
“So, goodbye, Will. Goodbye.”
With those words, Electra turns and walks away.
