We were genuinely surprised to see Ethan (still played by Christian Howard) pop back up on *General Hospital*. It seemed as though his abrupt departure from Port Charles had wrapped up this chapter of his story, but then Hudson tracked him all the way to Norway for a tense confrontation—and delivered more than a few threats. It certainly looks as though Hudson is Phoebe’s father, yet the only thing Ethan would tell him was that both Delilah and the baby had died.
Of course, viewers already know that only half of that story is true. Even more alarming, Hudson warned Ethan that if he ever discovered he was being lied to, he would kill Ethan’s mother and sisters before coming after Ethan himself. Just like that, Holly, Lulu and Sasha all found themselves in serious danger. It certainly feels like the show is laying the groundwork for Holly and Sasha to return sooner or later. After all, the truth can’t stay buried forever.
There’s just one complication. Although her episodes haven’t started airing yet, Sofia Mattsson is currently working over at *Days of Our Lives*. She has been cast in a mystery role that is expected to debut in early 2027. (As longtime viewers know, the Peacock soap tapes that far in advance.)
If Sasha does pop back up—even briefly as Hudson closes in on her—it seems possible that *General Hospital* would need someone else to step into the role. And since many fans already suspect Mattsson could be bringing the previously deceased Abigail back to Salem, why not flip the idea and have former Abby actress Marci Miller cross over to portray Sasha instead?
Beyond that, while every indication suggests Robert Scorpio remains alive off-screen for now, the show will eventually have to address Tristan Rogers’ passing. When that time comes, it’s hard to imagine telling that story without bringing both Sasha and Holly back. The more you think about it, the clearer it becomes that whenever Sasha does return, she’ll almost certainly be facing even more heartbreak.
