Home and Away in the UK: Home and Away Spoilers – Dana Plans to Propose to Sonny!

Dana starts preparing a surprise proposal, completely unaware that Sonny’s secret is about to destroy her romantic plans.

Sonny (Ryan Bown) has secretly developed a dependency on the steroids supplied by Beau (Blake Richardson) as he continues pushing himself to recover from the train crash.

However, with Sonny short on money, Beau has now instructed him to begin selling pills himself in exchange for keeping his personal supply coming, forcing Sonny to conceal even more from Dana.

Entirely unaware of what Sonny has become involved in, Dana (Ally Harris) starts seriously considering their future next week when she reluctantly claims the fishing lesson she won during the surf club fundraiser.

She only bid on Alf’s (Ray Meagher) donated prize to support the event and initially hopes to avoid using it, but his enthusiasm soon convinces her otherwise.

Dana feels completely out of her depth when they first arrive at the beach, but once they are seated on their stools overlooking Baywater, she begins appreciating the calm and silence.

As they chat, Alf asks how Sonny’s recovery is going.

Dana proudly describes how hard he has been working, leading Alf to reflect on his own long-distance marriage to Martha (Belinda Giblin).

He advises her not to take what she and Sonny share for granted and encourages her to make the most of the present.

By the end of the lesson, Dana is surprised by how much she has enjoyed the experience.

Even though they haven’t caught anything, she realises fishing is just as much about slowing down and appreciating the company as it is about whatever ends up on the hook.

Back at the surf club, John (Shane Withington) reveals that the person who won his complimentary celebrancy package has withdrawn. Dana laughs off his suggestion that she and Sonny could use it, although Alf’s words have already planted the thought in her mind.

The next day, Dana confides in Harper (Jessica Redmayne), who is thrilled to discover that her sister is considering asking the question.

Before making any firm decision, however, Dana wants reassurance that Sonny imagines the same future she does.

Unfortunately, Beau has arranged for Sonny to meet a new customer at the gym, with Dana unknowingly interrupting the transaction by joining him for his workout.

As Sonny exercises, Dana guides the conversation toward their future.

Consumed by guilt over everything he is hiding, Sonny admits it is all he thinks about, convincing her that they want the same things.

Their discussion is interrupted when Beau’s client, Declan (Alexander Cortedano), approaches and addresses Sonny by name, forcing him to pretend Declan has mistaken him for someone else.

Meanwhile, Beau proposes another romantic evening alone with Harper. Referring to their recent getaway, he suggests dinner in Yabbie Creek and hints that spending some time together without Archie would be good for them.

Harper is hesitant to leave her son, but Beau keeps pushing the idea, and Marilyn (Emily Symons) agrees to babysit overnight.

While Harper drops off Archie’s belongings, Beau follows her movements through their location-tracking app and becomes agitated when she travels farther than he anticipated.

After learning that Sonny failed to complete the sale, Beau confronts him. Sonny explains that Dana accompanied him to the gym, but Beau angrily reminds him that he still hasn’t sold anything.

Harper soon witnesses the same explosive side when she returns home. Beau demands to know where she has been and accuses her of lying because the app showed her on the opposite side of town.

Harper explains that she drove Marilyn home with Archie and the travel cot, but Beau insists he must know her location at all times.

When Harper suggests removing the app, he loses his temper and grabs her wrist.

His hold becomes tighter when Harper attempts to pull free, and he refuses to release her until she promises to leave the app installed, leaving a bruise behind.

Beau later brings her an ice pack and apologises, but also implies Harper could have prevented the confrontation by keeping him informed.

Shaken by what happened, Harper cancels their dinner and tells Beau to leave. Once she is alone, she breaks down crying.

At the same time, Remi (Adam Rowland) realises Sonny took his missing credit card. He arrives while Beau is berating him, but Sonny covers by claiming they were arguing because he does so little to help around the apartment.

When Remi confronts him, Sonny reluctantly returns the card and points out that Remi has enough money not to notice what was spent. Remi insists that isn’t the issue—he refuses to finance Sonny’s steroid habit.

Sonny later encounters Leah (Ada Nicodemou) while lingering at the gym and hoping to make a sale, but unfortunately for him, Leah is in full busybody mode.

When she asks why he is there without his exercise clothes, he claims he is waiting for a friend, but his evasive behaviour makes her suspicious.

When Leah later discovers Remi speaking with Justin (James Stewart) about his growing concerns, she mentions Sonny’s unusual conduct at the gym.

Remi reaches the gym just as Beau confronts Sonny over his failure to complete any transactions.

Beau takes back the steroids he had given Sonny to sell and refuses to replace his personal supply, allowing Remi to witness the exchange from nearby.

Enraged, Remi confronts Sonny and learns that Beau has been providing the steroids and exploiting his dependency to force him into dealing.

The next morning, Remi confronts Beau and warns that he will reveal everything to Harper unless Sonny is freed from their arrangement. Beau agrees to release him—but only if Remi gives him half a million dollars!

Later, Beau attempts to collect Archie from Marilyn, who refuses to hand him over without Harper’s approval. Harper arrives and quickly brings her son to Tane (Ethan Browne), but Beau tracks her down using the location app.

Harper shows him her bruised wrist and warns that she has heard countless promises that violence will never happen again. Beau blames his jealousy on former relationships, declares his love for her and promises he will change.

He asks Harper and Archie to stay at his home so he can prove himself, and she reluctantly agrees to give him another opportunity.

When Remi updates Sonny, Sonny is horrified that he confronted Beau at all. He explains that he only agreed to sell the steroids because he believed it would stop Beau from trying to take Remi’s money.

Remi isn’t concerned about losing his cash—he is worried about what Beau is doing to Sonny. When he encourages Sonny to walk away by giving up the steroids, Sonny finally confesses that he cannot quit.

Each improvement makes him feel closer to recovering his former physique and independence, and he is desperate to stop depending on Dana and Remi.

Sonny eventually agrees to let Remi help and goes with him to the hospital. However, he is already searching for an excuse to leave when Dana sends a message asking him to meet her at the surf club that evening.

Remi insists that facing his steroid problem must come first and promises to stand by him throughout the process.

Unaware of the crisis developing, Dana recreates the evening when she and Sonny first played pool together.

Dressed in the same outfit, she fills the surf club with candles and positions the balls so that the words “Marry me Sonny” will appear when he breaks.

Before Sonny can receive any assistance, another demanding message comes through from Beau. He stands up to leave, but Remi warns that if he walks away now, he will be completely on his own from that point forward.

Sonny leaves anyway and meets Beau, who orders him to handle two customers while he and Harper go away together. Harper reminds Sonny that Dana is waiting for him, but he still doesn’t turn up.

Dana eventually gives up on the proposal and goes home, where Sonny claims he was too exhausted to meet her. Hurt by his defensive reaction, she keeps her plans hidden.

The next morning, Dana tells John that there might not be another attempt because she is no longer certain Sonny is as committed to their future as she once believed…
