Sally Drops a Warning on Billy Ahead of the Wedding — and Cane Shoots [Spoiler] Down

At The Shadow Room, Audra is surprised Sally wanted to come out tonight and senses something is going on. “Do you have some bad news you want to tell me about?” Sally, sighing, asks her pal to keep an open mind.

Jumping right in, Sally admits, “I asked Chelsea to replace Chloe as my bridesmaid.” Audra chokes, “Can I ask why?” Sally explains that they bonded. Audra is skeptical given the damage she caused Sally. The redhead insists she’s happy with Billy and doesn’t want to be angry anymore. Audra thinks she’s making a huge mistake.

Audra reminds Sally that Chelsea is a con artist who went after Adam. Sally argues that they, too, have lived less-than-stellar lives. She wonders if Audra is a little jealous. Her pal backs off, but asks how Billy is handling the idea of Adam coming. Sally hedges, “We’re working on that.” Audra suggests Sally could ask Chelsea not to bring him. Sally warns her friend that she’s stressing her out. “I need you to stop.” Audra apologizes and assures her pal it will be a beautiful wedding.

The Great Debate

Chelsea greets Adam at the Club with the news that Sally asked her to be her bridesmaid. He already knew this from Billy. She starts panicking about him undoing her progress with Sally. When Adam finally gets a word in, he explains that Billy banned him from the nuptials… but told him he’d go if Chelsea asked him to. As Chelsea gushes about Sally’s sweet and genuine gesture and how much the four of them have been through, Adam makes “WTH?” faces.

Chelsea wonders if Adam could possibly come with her to the wedding and promise not to act like an ass. Adam teases that he could wear a disguise, which pisses her off. Adam tells her if she wants him to go, he’ll go… but Billy won’t like it. Chelsea warns him against poking the bear and ruining the day.

Finally, Adam admits he doesn’t want to go watch Sally make the biggest mistake of her life. He still cares about her and she deserves better. Chelsea thinks he should simply slap on a smile and wish them the best. Adam asks why this matters so much to her. She’s tired of the conflict and thinks setting aside his differences would mean a lot to Sally… and maybe to Billy as well.

Tense Talk

Billy and Cane cross paths at Crimson Lights and make small talk. Ashby wants to know if he’s invited to the wedding. Billy says sure… all he has to do is transfer ownership of Chancellor to him. Cane is wary as Billy insists he was joking and assures him that he and Lily are welcome at the wedding. Billy then asks if Cane has spoken to Jill lately.

Cane spoke to Jill today… and she asked about Billy. He snarks, “Tell her I’m doing amazing.” Cane complains about Billy’s attitude and they mix it up over Jill, Chancellor and the loan. Cane insists Jill loves him and is heartbroken that he won’t make peace. Billy says it’s on her, not on him. Cane warns she won’t live forever; it would be a damn shame if she left this world without resolution.

Next, they argue over Billy declaring that he doesn’t want Jill at his wedding. She might do or say something to ruin the day and his mind is made up. Cane is sad for both of them. Billy sighs that his mother has given him many sad days, but his wedding won’t be one of them. Cane warns he’ll regret her not being there.

Back at The Shadow Room, Sally tells Audra they’ll need extra security because Patty is on the loose again. Audra will happily take down the bitch if she tries to ruin Sally’s wedding. Sally laughs, “I know you will,” as Billy arrives.

Audra lets Billy know that if he can stomach Chelsea and Adam at the wedding, she can too. Once she’s gone, Sally tells Billy that Audra was against Chelsea being in the wedding, but came to terms with it. Billy says he ran into Cane, who badgered him about inviting his mother. Sally tells him Jill assumes that she’s coming.

The Final Scenes

At the Club, Chelsea has convinced Adam to go to the wedding. He promises to be on his best behavior. Chelsea wonders if Connor would want to go to the wedding. Adam thinks he’s happy at school. Chelsea teases that they can avoid his questions about when they’re getting remarried. Adam muses that maybe one day they’ll be arguing about whether to invite Sally and Billy to their wedding.

At The Shadow Room, Sally is relieved that Billy hasn’t uninvited his mother, and explains she was just texting Jill about the details. Billy slams his mother’s audacity, assuming she deserves a front-row seat. Sally tells him Jill wants to be there. Billy explains how tense she makes him. Sally wants her there and informs her husband-to-be that his attitude is harming him. “More importantly, it’s harming us.”

On Crimson Lights’ patio, Cane is looking at Jill’s contact number on his phone when Audra walks in, pulls up a chair, and suggests they catch up. Cane makes it clear he’s taken aback. Audra awkwardly asks if he’s going to Billy’s wedding and if he’ll be alone. Cane wonders if she’s asking him on a date and baits, “Yes… I am bringing someone.” When he makes it clear he’s not interested in making friends, Audra suggests he get over himself and flounces off. Cane shakes his head and texts Jill to call him.

Still at The Shadow Room, Billy tells Sally that it’s better that Adam stays home, but he’ll consider what she said about Jill. They slow dance and Billy tells her the next time they do this she’ll be Mrs. Sally Abbott. She jokes, “You’ll be Mr. Billy Spectra.” They kiss.
